We reveal a deep connection between alignment of dust grains by radiative torques (RATs) and mechanical (METs) the rotational disruption introduced Hoang et al. The happens if they have attractor points corresponding to high angular momentum (high J). introduce fast for that are directly driven high-J on timescale spin-up, slow first moved low-J gradually transported gas collisions. enhancement grain magnetic susceptibility iron inclusions expands parameter space attractors increases percentage experiencing disruption. increase in magnitude RATs or METs can efficiency but, counterintuitively, decreases effect forcing toward attractors, whereas density accelerates transporting faster attractor. also show induced depends angle field anisotropic flow. find pinwheel but may decrease delaying transport from via selective nature opens possibility observational testing composition physical processes alignment.
